Nissan is an automobile manufacturer based in Japan, and it started out as Datsun in the United States. Nissan's earliest roots are found in 1914. Nissan is well-known in enthusiast communities for its GT-R, Fairlady Z, and Sylvia models. In 2010, the company also produced one of the first all-electric, zero-emission vehicles, the Nissan Leaf.
Nismo
Nissan's performance tuning company is known as Nismo, which makes performance parts for their cars, as well as performance package models like their Skyline 400R, Nismo 370Z, S14 Sylvia 270R, and Skyline Z-Tune. Nismo also manages a number of Nissan's racing teams.
Some less performance-oriented models will also get a Nismo factory option package to give the vehicle a more sporty look.
