The Monte Carlo is a mid-size coupe/sedan built by Chevrolet. Some generations it shared the same chassis as the Pontiac Grand Prix (such as the W-Body chassis in the late 1990s, early 2000s) and has often had a sporty SS version available with a more powerful engine.

This car's body style was the basis for Chevrolet's NASCAR bodies for many years, and for some of those years it raced against the car it shared a chassis/engine with, the Pontiac Grand Prix.
