Avondale is just outside of Phoenix and home to Phoenix Raceway, a race track that hosts NASCAR Cup events. It is known for its unique blue walls and unusual tri-oval layout. The track is a mile long, with banking ranging from 8° to 11°. The track used to have less banking before a reconfiguration in 2011, and went by Phoenix International Raceway until 2017.
Maricopa County is home to Arizona Motorsports Park, a road course with multiple layouts. The west track is 1.13 miles with nine turns, the east track is 1.13 miles with 7 turns, and the full course is 2.23 miles long with 16 total turns.
