Valvoline produces a number of greases for different applications. Many of them are readily available at some auto parts stores in tubes and cylinder containers/tubs.
General Multi-Purpose Grease
General purpose grease is a good all-around grease which can be used wherever special grease features (such as high temperature resistance) don't need to be too extreme.
Seen at the right is the 1 pound container of general multi-purpose grease, which has a brown color.
- Extreme-pressure, high-temperature protection
- Lubricates at temperatures ranging from -40°F to 400°F
- NLGI #2 Grade GC-LB Lithium Complex EP Grease
Moly-Fortified Multi-Purpose Grease
Moly-fortified grease is recommended for Ford vehicles (as well as brands under Ford), and Valvoline produces this grease.
This smooth grease has a opaque red color and is available in both cans and tubes.
SynPower Synthetic Grease
Synthetic grease is a higher grade of general purpose grease which is also waterproof. It is recommended for CV axle joints and general heavy duty applications.
This grease is favored for chassis lubrication due to its waterproof qualities and general quality. The Valvoline SynPower grease is also free from color dyes which dilute other greases, making it a shiny coal/off-black color. It also appears to have a grainy texture, but is smooth to contact.
What makes this grease synthetic is the base oil it is formulated from, which gives it better lubricating and endurance qualities.
Palladium Grease
Valvoline's Palladium grease is a multi-purpose lubricant for use in extreme pressure and high temperature operating conditions, with a dropping point above 475F. The smooth textured grease has a heavy-bodied consistency and resists water washout problems.
Cerulean Grease
The Cerulean grease produced by Valvoline is designed for the high demands of commercial and industrial machinery and environments. Like the name suggests, it has a bluish color to it.
