The Tesla Model 3 is built by Tesla, and is a smaller option than Tesla's other four-door offering, the Model S sedan. The battery packs for this production model were are co-produced by Tesla and Panasonic at their new factory in California. The Model 3 is the least expensive car Tesla Motors has produced to date.
