Twitchy Driving Condition

Sometimes a vehicle may have some sudden twitchy behavior, which causes it to have unpredictable handling. This is often caused by a high-powered engine in a rear-wheel drive vehicle, where the power easily breaks traction in one wheel first, which causes the vehicle to suddenly move to one side, and the weight shift combined with a driver reaction causes it to suddenly move the other way right after the first jolt.

Fixing Twitchy Handling

This can sometimes be fixed with a different differential design, or tires with more grip. Sometimes softening the suspension so that weight shifts more gradually can help stabilize the vehicle, too.
