The Eliica is built by a team at Keio University in Tokyo, . The name in full is Electric Lithium-Ion Car, which explains its source of power. The vehicle has eight total wheels, four that steer in the front, and four in the rear. All eight wheels are given an 80 horsepower electric motor, for a total of 644HP.



The Eliica was designed to compete with gasoline-powered vehicle's speed records, and had a faster 0-60MPH time than a Porsche 911 Turbo at the time, having the ability to reach the speed in four seconds.
